Lisa’s Story

I was 25 when I had my abortion. After being serious with one man for 5 years, we broke up and I had some flings. I told the man that I was sleeping with that I was pregnant. I never asked him to pay for it but just give me a ride to the hospital. I met with the anesthesiologist the day before because I wanted to be put to sleep. I was so fortunate to have my father’s health insurance still being in college. My gyn did it. I have never looked back. I met my husband about 7 months later and I know we would never have gotten together if I was pregnant or had a child. Do I think about what might have been of course but I know that I made the best choice for me. I have a beautiful daughter and a loving husband.
