I would like to thank all for their stories as they have allowed me to move closer to healing and recovery from my experience. Here is my story, I hope it may help someone else. I took the morning after pill five hours after sex. (So maybe I was a little paranoid) (and if you’re unfamiliar with the pill, you can take it up to 72 hours after sex, but the sooner the better). With all my preventative measures, I still conceived. I was on the pill for 4 years. I ran out last month and tried to make an appointment to get more but they didn’t have anything [...] It was April. I was 18 years old working full time and making 9 dollars an hour. I had been seeing this guy for a little over a year. I was set to go to college the following September, and my boyfriend had just gotten his car reposessed, and kicked out of his apartment. Hindsight [...] I am 22 years old and I had an abortion on January 22, 2008. I was dating my boyfriend for only two months when I found out I was pregnant, although I had a feeling since the moment I conceived that I was pregnant. I was hoping that I was just over-reacting and over worrying, [...] As a child my mother used to tell me about a working class neighbor in the 1950s (I grew up in England) who had a backstreet abortion that left her crippled. Afterwards she said she’d do it again because there was no way she could afford another child. This experience made my mother ardently pro-abortion, [...] There isn’t much to tell really! No fear! No dilemma! No painful decision to make. No guilt. No drama. 17 years ago I had an abortion. My period was late and I tested positive. At that time my husband and I weren’t ready to bring a child into the world. He drove me to the [...] I had an abortion when I was 18 and I have never regretted doing so. I was at university, and dating a man that I thought I could not live without. He was abusive and controlling but I was young. We were using Hormonal Birth Control, but somewhere something went wrong and I got pregnant. [...] At 17 I became pregnant after the 3rd time I had sex. It was awful, I felt so alone and the worst part is my boyfriend at the time left me as soon as he found out. So there I was, 17 ,a senior in high school, pregnant and alone.
