Twenty new stories are up! You also may have noticed that you have to take one extra step in order to get to this page now--I did this because many asked me why I had the "Why INS Was Created" as the home page but there was no link to it except through the archive pages. With the site attracting new visitors, I thought it best to link to that page from the index page. One extra click won't kill you.
JANUARY 29, 2008
Today I'mNotSorry.net celebrates its fifth anniversary! There are twenty new stories up, which is always the best present.
Back in 2003 when I was sitting at my desk in my robe playing with HTML and thinking that purple letters on a gold background would look just ever so nifty, I never thought that this little site would gain the attention that it has, that it would strike such a chord. For that, I am forever grateful to those of you who have talked about it, told others about it, written about it in their blogs or in the media. Most of all, I am grateful to the six hundred-plus of you who have so graciously shared your stories with INS. Six hundred-plus may not seem like a lot over the course of five years, but that's six hundred-plus voices that hadn't been heard before, and more voices trickle into the site's e-mail every day.
The appearance of the site may change--hey, compared to the beginning INS looks like Worlds of Warcraft now--but the premise of it never will. INS will never be politically correct, never cater to the trends. It will remain a place where women can tell the truth about abortion, a truth that many on both sides of the issue don't seem willing to face. I will make sure of that.
ETA: I've had a lot of questions about the INS blog being syndicated. I am now proud to announce that you can now read the blog through Yahoo, Google and LiveJournal. The name of the blog on Feedburner is http://feeds.feedburner.com/imnotsorrynet; on LJ it's imnotsorrynet. Thanks to INS friend Mackenzie for helping out!
Love and peace to all of you,
Patricia
