I was 18 and in college when I discovered I was pregnant. That was 30 years ago.
I had an abortion.
Since then, I have finished college, been married and divorced, had two children and a miscarriage. I love my children dearly, and my life would have been poorer without them.
Had I not had an abortion, my life would have been much different. I am not sorry I had one.
When my daughter became pregnant at 16, we talked about her options, the pros and cons and her own state of mind. She also decided on an abortion; she is 20 now and she is not sorry either.
