| Heather's Story |
It's April 28th, 6 p.m., and I just got home from having a surgical abortion with only a shot to numb my cervix. No twilight. I was 7 weeks pregnant and sick beyond belief for over a month. I am almost 31 years old, a single parent of one child allready, and struggling financially to make it as well. I did use birth control pills and they failed. I do not consider a 7 week old fetus to be a "baby" and I have no regrets. The procedure was fast, about 4 minutes and I have very little bleeding. There was also very little pain, just some mild-medium cramping. I did what I had to do for and my future and my son's future. In no way was i financially, mentally, or physically ready to have another child. And even if I was, I don't want any more kids, period! Why should a woman be forced to bear children when she doesn't want to? My name is Heather, and I'm not sorry!
